Representaciones sociales de la distribución informal por streaming: una exploración en TikTok con métodos digitales

Este artículo explora cómo los usuarios de TikTok, a partir de sus interacciones digitales, construyen representaciones sociales sobre el streaming en el contexto de las redes informales de distribución y consumo audiovisual, comúnmente conocidas como streaming pirata. Desde el marco teórico de Serge Moscovici y mediante una estrategia metodológica basada en métodos digitales, se analizó una muestra que constó de 1274 publicaciones. A través de técnicas de analítica textual y análisis visual de redes, se indagan tres dimensiones clave: las fuentes de información que nutren estas representaciones, las imágenes mentales que las organizan y las actitudes que las sustentan. Los hallazgos revelan que el streaming pirata es representado no como una práctica ilegal o marginal, sino como una actividad cotidiana y normalizada que participa de dinámicas más amplias de consumo cultural y cultura digital. Lejos de reproducir narrativas institucionales sobre la ilegalidad, los usuarios resignifican la piratería como una vía legítima de acceso, asociada a la gratuidad, la viralidad, la experiencia cinematográfica y la pertenencia comunitaria. El estudio aporta evidencia empírica sobre los procesos cotidianos de construcción de sentido en torno a la piratería digital.
